My very first post - my two dollhouses

My Vintage Dolls and Things

I am building two doll houses. One was given to my kids and my son asked me to finish it and the other I bought at a garage sale. One is a farmhouse and the other is a small cottage. Both houses are being redecorated and will have add ons to their kit structure.

This is a small pembroke table; handy as a side table or for me, a doll house table.
At the antique store I have my eye on this little bench. Hand made. Could be interesting for something; maybe for a large doll.

This is a Heidi Ott doll wigless and undressed I thought these would be great for the room box which so far has a strombecker school room set in it. But maybe not maybe the large farmhouse. Mmmm I'll see.

Here's Kelly she helped me smuggle the table; we had to carry it together down the street
and through another store and out its back door to a hallway leading to the back of another store(my husbands), where we hid it under some bags of wrapping paper unbeknownst to him. It looked good there under the pile of boxes. The next day we left for home by plane so I couldn't take the table with me. Kelly is showing me a heavily crocheted Victorian curtain to go in my doll room. My husband is anxious about me to going to her store.

Here is my diagram for farm house. It is a kit that I am going to sabotage. I think that it needs a basement level but maybe that's too much. No can't be too much. I plan to cover it with shingles on the outside and stain them brown.

The cottage is more finished with beam and panelling in the living room. I think that it needs a big fireplace that everyone can sit around in.

The school house needs repapering and a globe, pictures and maps and black boards on the wall and on an easel. I am building and outdoor garden, a river/lake with a boat/barn, horse, buggy. : ) That's all for the start of my blog down here at Apple !!!
